U.S. Foreign Policy Idea
I was thinking the other day about our nation's foreign policy stance, especially our desire to spread democracy worldwide and our demands for the Iraqi government before our forces leave. I began to wonder about our demands and whether they are really too hard.

After not too much time, my thoughts led me to the book of Acts 15:23ff. In short, the Jewish Christians were deciding what to require the Gentile Christians to do and they narrowed it down to relatively few requirements - rather than all the laws that the Jewish people knew from the Torah. Finally, in verse 31 of that chapter it was reported that the Gentiles were encouraged by the letter and they rejoiced!

Can we better achieve our aims by specifying just a few important requirements rather than a long, overbearing list? What would that short list include?
